While room-darkening fabric stops light from passing through the shade, traditional window installations often suffer from side gaps—tiny slivers of light that bleed in along the edges between the fabric and the window frame.
To solve this, Hunter Douglas engineered the LightLock™ System for Duette® Honeycomb Shades. The innovation uses unique U-shaped side channels that overlap the front and back of the shades, eliminating the side edges entirely. Additionally, the U-shaped channels feature a unique micro-ridge design that absorbs and deflects incoming light rays before they can leak into the room. By combining opaque room-darkening fabrics with LightLock™ side channels, the system eliminates side gaps entirely, delivering complete blackout performance ideal for bedrooms, media rooms, and shift workers.
